Well, I went to the show and was very pleased. It was at Borders book store at U of M in Ann Arbor. The show was on the 2nd floor. Anyway, when I got there, I bought the CD Here Comes the ABCs and got a 2-sided poster with it. I got there like 2 and a half hours before the show to get a good place to sit. That turned out to be a waste because before the show, they had the little kids at the show move up to the front. So I was pushed back a little ways. Still was close and got some good pictures.

They played a few songs off the new CD and songs off of other CDs. From the new CD was Alphabet of Nations, Flying V, and Alphabet Lost and Found. They played Istanbul, No!, Particle Man, New York City, and a few more. After they finished performing, the Johns went to a nearby table to sign stuff. Marty was still near the stage and was signing stuff for people. Because the line for him to sign things was shorter, I went and had him sign the front of the book thing of "Here Comes the ABCs." Then I went and got in line for the Johns to sign my stuff.

After about an hour in that long and winding line, I was finally up to them. My feet were killing me because I had to stand in that line for an hour and I had to stand for the whole show, which was about half an hour or so. And we wandered around the store a little before I got in line so it would be shorter. Anyway, I got both Linnell and Flansy to sign my CD's book like Marty and sign the one side of the poster that Flans said was the 'cool side'. And I got some free stickers. But to top it all off, I got my picture with both of them. I got to go around behind the table and get in between Linnell and Flansy and have my picture taken. I wore my 'No!' shirt special today for the show. There were 3 other people with the same 'No!' shirt as me.

Overall, it was an awesome show. I got to meet my favorite band, got my picture with them, and got their autographs. And I saw my friend there. He's the one who introduced TMBG to the LNGD and James spread them around and that's how I came to like them. So, my friend, Paul "Teh Salt" Hendrixson, is the main reason I was there because he's the one who made me a fan, technically.

tmbgtalk/woo.gif Excellent write-up, pichu. tmbgtalk/-th-u.gif

Okay, so I'm a little jealous that you got meet John L and Marty and get their autographs (since I already met Flansy and obtained his autograph last July)... tmbgtalk/-laugh.gif But I'm really glad that you got a chance to see TMBG on this tour, and that you enjoyed the show so much. tmbgtalk/-2smilespin.gif

Hmm, I may have seen them when I got there. Cool. That's a way better review than mine. But of course, I never wrote a review of a show before.

YOU ROCK LIKE SLAYER PICHU!

It's awesome when fans get to meet their favorite bands... and they end up being as cool as you'd hoped.

You've got a memory that truly few have...and it looks like now you have some mp3s to boot!

Congrats man.

Sounds like it was a great show, pichu. Litterally.

on an unrelated note, I bet when they play "Can You Find it?" in their regular live shows they're gonna make it really trippy-sounding. Sort of similar to "Wearing a Raincoat".
