tmbgtalk/+daz.gif That sounds like a really good show! (There's no way I'd be able to make it there, but still...)

*not holding breath* tmbgtalk/-wink.gif

klimdeeni- 12-12-2006
I still havn't listened to the radio thing yet tmbgtalk/-lol2.gif

they said the CD comes out in '07 so they still have a whole year
I'm willing to hold my breath that long

tmbgtalk/icon2.gif I think it's good that They're keeping any new-album talk to a bare minimum and that They haven't been previewing much new material -- considering how much people bitched about Mink Car when it finally came out. Since then, They seem to have learned that it's better to take the fans by surprise than to get their hopes up by telling them everything and making promises about stuff They may not actually have any control over.

klimdeeni- 12-12-2006
what happened with Mink Car now? tmbgtalk/icon2.gif

biff- 12-12-2006
i never bitched about it. tmbgtalk/dunno.gif

what promises did they make? I love Mink Car!

For one thing, a lot of the songs from it had already been released in demo form as part of the TMBG Unlimited mp3 subscription service, or they had been demos on Dial-a-Song, or they had been part of Their live show for years -- so the final, polished studio versions of those songs probably disappointed the fans who preferred the demos or live versions of them.

some of their fans. i loved it. tmbgtalk/-lol2.gif

I didn't mean everybody -- I just meant a lot of people, like the ones on the Google newsgroup. I used to do quite a bit of lurking over there, and I couldn't believe how nit-picky and negative a lot of them were. tmbgtalk/dunno.gif

So did I. tmbgtalk/-grnbiggrin.gif

Granted, I missed the whole TMBG Unlimited thing, and I hadn't heard any live bootlegs or dial-a-song demos before I bought the album -- but even if I'd heard that stuff beforehand, I think I would've appreciated the final studio versions just as much. tmbgtalk/-Vthumsup.gif
