I think it's very uneven and that some of the songs have very weak lyrics. The album doesn't really have any standout songs that would make me want to listen to it often.
if you say so... but i still love it.

I think Mink Car kicks the living daylights out of The Spine, easily. The Spine is the one with no real standout tracks, in my opinion. I mean, it's a great album, but Mink Car is an amazing album to me.

i love each album for itself. i don't play favourites. they've never done one i didn't like.

I tend to favor The Spine over Mink Car.
I think some of the more memorable tracks from The Spine are, Memo to Human Resources, Wearing a Raincoat, Thunderbird, and Museum of Idiots ( )
Mink car has Hovering Sombrero, Mink Car, and WUCFTM. But if those tracks are your highlights, you're not in the best of shape .
I mean no disrespect to the album but I don't really feel like it has a high point

I think mink car has some GREAT songs I LOOOOVE My Man, Hovering Sombrero, Cyclops Rock, Man It's So Loud In Here and Bangs. But also I think The Spine migth be one of their best albulms. I LOOOOVE Wearing A Raincoat, Museum Of Idiots, Thunderbird, and Experimental Film I think both albulms are incredible so....yea.....there's my 2 and a half cents
biff- 11-23-2005

klimdeeni- 11-23-2005

My sentiments exactly! (Plus, there are a lot of other songs on those two discs that I love but you didn't mention -- Drink!, Another First Kiss, Working Undercover For The Man, Memo To Human Resources, Damn Good Times, It's Kickin' In, I Can't Hide From My Mind, etc.)
klimdeeni- 11-23-2005
well actually all my favorites from those two CDs include Bangs,Cyclops Rock, Man, It's So Loud In Here, Mr. Xcitement, Another First Kiss, I've Got A Fang, Hovering Sombrero, Yeh Yeh, Hopeless Bleak Despair, Drink!, My Man, Older, Mink Car, Wicked Little Critta, Finished With Lies, She Thinks She's Edith Head, Working Undercover For The Man, Experimental Film, Spine, Memo To Human Resources, Wearing A Raincoat, Prevenge, Thunderbird, Bastard Wants To Hit Me, The World Before Later On, Museum Of Idiots, It's Kickin' In, Spines, Au Contraire, Damn Good Times, Broke In Two, Stalk Of Wheat, and I Can't Hide From My Mind, but that's another story
biff- 11-24-2005
i do it the easy way & say i like ALL of em.
grchereck- 11-24-2005
There are some songs that I like more than others on both discs, but I do like all the songs on both discs -- I can listen to them all the way through without regularly skipping a track.
