Welcome ferret!  Where were you seated/standing at the concert?

On the left of the stage with the under 21 crowd. Back by the merchandise table. My wife and I plus another couple kind of stood out there. We sat behind the obnoxious drunk/high guy who was screaming and slam dancing. We got to The Pageant right at 8:00pm. To late to get into the center section. We know better for next time.

The other guy and i went to get drinks from the bar before TMBG came on. We tried to take them to our seats and got stopped by a bouncer. No alcohol allowed in that area. So we had to drink in shifts.

Saw a lot of foam fingers. Is there any significance I don't know of?

I picked up an autographed copy of the Venue Songs DVD/CD. Good stuff. I wish they had more of the songs turned into videos though.

Yeah, 8pm is definitely too late for a great spot. I used to arrive at "doors open" for St. Louis area concerts (sometimes later), but I've gotten "better". I found a few years back that I simply don't enjoy the concert nearly as much if I'm not standing near the front. Also, I've found that at TMBG concerts, you're less likely to be by a slam dancer at the front. If you're further back, watch out. I've had a couple of strange concert experiences (including a guy jumping the stage and Weinkauf throwing him off wub.gif)

The first 50 or so people got the foam fingers -> there's no real significance there. It's just a random thing they've started doing. They were actually on selling orange ones a few years back at a set of kids concerts in Chicago. That's where I got my first one. The have them more at kids shows, but... I guess they're trying to clear 'em out now.
