So I went to Borders to catch TMBG today. We only got there 30 minutes early, so we were standing pretty far back. They opened with Alphabet of Nations, and then went to Istanbul, Bed Bed Bed, Flying V, Clap Your Hands, Particle Man, Violin, and ended with Dr. Worm.
It was a pretty good set, and it only took 15 minutes for me to snake through the line and eventually get them to sign my copy of Here Come the ABC's.
The good news: I brought my video camera, and have the whole show taped. It sounds pretty good, too.
The better news: It's a digital video camera. As soon as I figure out how to digitize things, I can throw this bad boy on a CD, or online somewhere.

You went to see TMBG in Albany and you didn't even invite me??
Glad it was a good show and that you got it committed to film I guess not really film huh.. disc,I guess I should say
daybreaker- 02-20-2005
I would have invited you, but arent you in North Carolina now? Would you have made the 14 hour trip?
Besides, it was just like the one last time in Albany, but in an actual bookstore instead of an empty building. And the John's were doing much, much less talking at the signing this time.
Though my friend did get a really weird look from Linnel when he asked "Oh, hey, can you sign my left hand?"
SuzukaBlue- 02-20-2005
Yeah, I'm in S.C. now.. I was just kidding
TMBG don't sign skin

not that this is even kinda relevant, but wouldn't these posts suck without our emoticons? it's like the differance between a picture book and a novel it just kinda animates the conversation
