Let me start by saying it was a perfect night, perfect weather and the perfect band. The crowd was very pumped up and enthusiastic.
Ok, Michael Leviton is pretty good. I had my doubts, but after seeing him in person, he is worth a listen, for sure. Met him after the show and seems like a really nice guy. Seemed like it took forever between the 5-6 songs that Leviton sang and the beginning of TMBG. They did the crickets intro again, very nice, same one they did at Penn’s Landing.
Started it out with Alphabet of Nations. Very quick and agressively. Mixed into Dr. Worm and went from there. Boss of Me was rocking hard, very very good.
After a few more, including Damn Good Times, they played some new ones, Careful and The Captain. Catchy.
Did some really older stuff I wasn’t expecting, purple toupee and Song #3 (ya know, there’s only two songs in me, and I just wrote the third….). It was awesome, poked fun at country and Flans said “This is OUR country song…”, I had to pause, as I thought “Stand on your own head” was a little bluegrass/country-ish. Anyway, it was a big surprise and excellent. Lot’s of solos by Marty and Dan Miller throughout the night.
They looked a little tired, truthfully...they had the Ft Lauderdale concert the night before. They had two encores and both times they looked like they really needed to sleep. Linell kept rubbing his face and eyes.
The concert lasted about 1 ½ hours. It was great. I was a little disappointed at no Ana Ng, Angel or Don’t Let’s Start. No biggie, though, it was an awesome night. They did perform Birdhouse and Istanbul. Jannus Landing is a great venue, very intimate and there were probably about 1,000 people there. The doors opened at 7 and we got there about 6, among the first people there.
After the show we were looking for a setlist. They were all gone from the stage so wandering around, we saw one hanging in the sound booth at the rear of the venue. I recognized one of the guys there from the Penn’s Landing show and we talked, and my buddy and I ended up with his setlist, so SCORE!

I also took lot’s of Pics, so hopefully they will turn out ok.
Excellent concert and hope they come again real soon!

i keep forgetting to check the wiki, so i went there this morning & i went to the 2nd page of the news (cuz it had been several days) & i saw a post that the new album isn't scheduled for release till 2007.

Cronny - Space Jam was the beginning of the 2nd encore..John L and Marty came out alone and Marty drummed a "funky" beat while John L just played psychedlic sounds on the keyboard. It was a "futuristic" type of sound. I swear I have heard a rendition of it on the TMBG clock radio. They probably played it for 3 - 4 minutes before the rest of the guys came back onstage. No words.

Flans didn't come by the merchadise table or anything. They split right after...must've been beat. Dan Miller was around, though. We didn't get right up front of the stage, I guess about 8 rows back(if you want to call them rows). We probably could have got right up front, but there were alot of "youngin's" up there, and they were rowdy and we weren't in that "rowdy" of a mood, so we went back with the "Flood Crowd" as I call em. Standing only...very tired after 3 1/2 hours of standing. We stood from about 7:00 to 10:30... They had poles on the tent-like structure coming out from the stage, 2 big ones and so the view was obstructed of Flans occassionally, but he is so mobile onstage that it didn't matter. The confetti was cool during James K., too.

You aren't going to like this. I had a feelin the pics were going to turn out bad. ARGGGHHH!
They aren't good at all. The stage lights really messed everything up. I will scan a few in, but 90% of them are trash!
