Hello. My first name is Laura and I am not wanted by the police.

I'm about to be a sophmore in college at this point. I'm 19 years old. I really enjoy watching old films and advocate their preservation. I'm very knowledgeble of films from thier prehistory to the late 1930s. I want to become a film historian/preservationist, but I also want to follow my gut and be a photographer.
I also write poetry, which I believe is the only thing I'm really good at (but I know I can not make a living soley off of that). However, I know I'm young and have options.
I have been a TMBG's fan for a year now. I was introduced to them by an online friend who had given me a link to the "Birdhouse in Your Soul" video. I loved it and looked around for anything that They had created. My first CD of Theirs was "John Henry" (still my favorite).
Anything else about me? Hmm. I collect vinyl records (I presently have 250 LPs, 60 45s, and 20 78s), record machines (including victrolas), and I like painting (I'm into surreal/symbolic paintings).
Enough said.
P.S. This is the most welcoming forum I've been in ever. Biff is ubercool and the rest of you guys are too.

I also am fond of the Abe Lincoln icon
