and you felt the need to lie because... ? tmbgtalk/icon2.gif

dunno. I guess it was cause I didn't want to be dismissed cause of my age and I hadn't gotten to know ya guys yet so I didn't realize it wouldn't matter tmbgtalk/-2smilespin.gif

I never had that problem on the internet. Then again, I *was* 16 before I had it in my home. Heck, I didn't even first experience the internet until I was 15. Man, I can just imagine telling my students that in about 20 years.

"When I was YOUR age, we didn't have google. We had to look in books. Heck-fire (prounounced HEK-FAR), most people didn't even know about the internet, back then."

Random student: "How did you watch movies or DL music?"

Me: "We went to these places called theaters & record shops."

man, i never even had a telephone till ignatz was in kindergarten. tmbgtalk/-nut.gif i've only had internet for like 5 years. tmbgtalk/dunno.gif

when i was in 2nd or 3rd grade i had to talk my Dad into getting a color TV. when i was in Jr High, galoot was the first person i ever knew who had a video game system. he got it for christmas. it had one game, Pong. tmbgtalk/-nut.gif that was before nintendo & stuff. it was a Sears video game system. it had the one built in game. they didn't get a ColecoVision system till galoot was in high school. tmbgtalk/-laugh.gif

i really don't see the point in lying about something as trivial as age. tmbgtalk/dunno.gif

Cronny- 05-12-2005
Meh. It's no big deal. I just always have had friends older than me and I've always been self-concious about my being younger than them cause... I dunno tmbgtalk/icon2.gif

Hi!

I am Gerry, I'm 27 years old, divorced with two wonderful children (daughter of 5 and son of 2).

I live in the UK, work as a software developer / DBA / Business Analyst.

You'll find me splattered all over the internet in various guises - I've been online since 1992/3ish, and have been a part of many forums, chatrooms, mailing lists etc.

Oh, and I'm a big TMBG fan, have been since Flood in 1990.

Big hellos to the people on here that know me from elsewhere, and muchas gracias to Biff for being so gracious.
