That is so sad.  My aunt (in-law) died recently of lung cancer and a pastor friend of mine, his son died of brain cancer.  He was only 15. tmbgtalk/-frown.gif tmbgtalk/-cry.gif

jeez. tmbgtalk/-frown.gif i'm sorry Christy. tmbgtalk/-cry3.gif

i always have survivor guilt when people die of brain stuff. tmbgtalk/-ohwell.gif

when I was a kid, we had the old timey 'championship wrestling' wrestlers, who were in black & white, & all weighed like 300 pounds, & were flabby.  those were the days.

Ah yes, the days of Gorilla Monsoon before he was an announcer (he was like, 300 pounds as a wrestler, but 150 pounds as an announcer), Haystacks Calhoun, Ray Stevens, Pat Patterson, and Ernie Ladd. Good Times....

tmbgtalk/-laugh.gif i don't remember any of their names, but i used to watch em almost every Saturday night. when i was 12 or 13 i would babysit my nephew who was like 3 or so at the time. (he's in his early 30s now) my sister & her husband would always stay out really late, & championship wrestling was the only thing on after SNL was over. tmbgtalk/-nut.gif

back in those days, tv stations would sign off around midnight, & then sign back on at 5 or 6 in the morning. alls we had were the 3 networks. tmbgtalk/-nut.gif

fuzzy fuzzy memories. tmbgtalk/+daz.gif

I never heard of Wendie Jo, but that sucks about her dying. One thing I've noticed is that cool people always die of cancer. Like George Harrison of The Beatles. He died of cancer back in 2002. And my Aunt Susie died of cancer in like 2003 or something, and I think it was brain-related.

tmbgtalk/yes2.gif I've noticed that, too. Sorry about your aunt... tmbgtalk/icon_hug.gif

When I first heard about Harrison's death, it was early in the morning, and I cried off-and-on the rest of that day. tmbgtalk/-cry3.gif Warren Zevon ("Werewolves of London", "Lawyers, Guns, and Money") is another one -- when he was first diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer in summer of 2002, he was told that he only had weeks to live, but he managed to stick it out for one whole year (and record and release one final album) before he finally passed on. tmbgtalk/-frown.gif

i think cancer kills so many stars because it kills so many people in general. there are so many different kinds of cancer, that the odds are stacked in it's favor. tmbgtalk/-ohwell.gif

if you go to deadoralive.com there are more deaths from cancer than anything else. (it's a great site though. you should check it out)

i lost my father in law to cancer, & my Mom's best friend Helen. i think when i go, i'd rather just have a heart attack & go quick, like my Dad did. tmbgtalk/dunno.gif Papaw & Helen both suffered miserably before they passed. it was really hard to watch.

My Aunt Susie was cool since she was the first person to give me pop back when I was about 4 or 5. She was only in her 50s when she died.
