Yeah, my computer + Real Player = hellfire and damnation, basically. It implodes. Now it won't even let me try to download it again, for some inexplicable reason. (It says I "do not have permission" to download said files and that I should "contact my system Administrator", which makes no sense, as I'm the only one who uses this computer. ) Now, the only reason I want to try an' do so is because Real Player is required to listen to these clips from the rock off.. and I was kinda curious to see if whatever clips they have of us (us == Slander) up there are any better than our cruddy demos. If so, I thought you guys might like to hear 'em.. if not, I guess I can send y'all some of our demos. But yeah, I can't tell, because I can't hear the clips without RP. So.. help? Do any of you have the ability to somehow save and convert those files into another format?

i had all kinds of trouble with realplayer, until BigJohn helped me fix it. i'm on a Mac though. are you on a PC? i'm sure there's probably a way to fix it on a PC, but i don't know it. if you have a Mac though, i could go find the instructions he gave me to fix mine.

it had something to do with opening the terminal & finding realplayer & deleting the bad one & getting a new one & stuff like that.

i'm gonna go check out that page.

yes, and the rtsp protocol apparently doesn't inherently support an ftp transfer connection, as http does.

you can host mp3s at angelfire or tripod, if you want em on a page. (with pop ups) if you just want to allow people to download em, you can upload em at yousendit.com & post the link(s)
