our little dog Teddy jumped off the bed and fractured his leg I've been having to keep a close eye on him (that's why I haven't been able to get on here as often as I'd like) luckily though my grandparents are coming back from their vacation tomorrow they'll get to watch out for him

the guy at our music shoppe didn't know anything about my accordion I gues I'll have to take it somewhere else

Back in November, I submitted a pair of children's-book manuscripts (which my dad and I had written together) to CarolRhoda Books -- I finally got them back today, with a rejection letter saying that they simply weren't right for the publisher's list at this point in time. (It's funny, because before the mail came, I was just thinking about how we probably weren't going to hear back from them for at least a few more months...) No biggie; tomorrow I'll be sending one of the manuscripts to Boyds Mills Press, and I should hear back from them within three months.

me too, my grandparents called yesterday and said they wouldn't be getting back till Saturday, at least that gives us a little extra time to clean up the house

by the way, my dog is doing better today, his leg is in a splint and he can't run around, but we've been making sure that he is comfortable

well, my grandparents came home Friday and I couldn't be more thrilled to have them home, they had a great time and seem so much more relaxed (they didn't even freak out when I told them I bought an accordion!)

...speaking of which, we went to a few music shops in Ft. Smith, AR and couldn't find anything out about my accordion, but a guy gave me a phone number of someone who would we're going out to Ben Jack's guitar shop (where the guy works) tomorrow to have the guy check it over, he was really nice on the phone and said he'd check it out for free

the wedding was FUN! every one of my siblings was there, so we took a family picture. mine came out crappy though, so i'm hoping i can get Uncle Bernie to email me his.

i got really drunk, but i felt pretty good today, so YaY me.

also, I went to that Ben Jack's guitar place and dropped my accordion off, they said that Robert (the accordion guy) would pick it up and call me back...I didn't really like leaving it there all by itself, kinda silly, huh?
