i just try to keep my house from looking like too big of a sty. my decorating style is somewhat masculine, since i'm the only girl in the family. we have 0 ruffles around here, & nothing is pink. everything is browns, & forest greens, & other earthy type colours.

& i have lots of home made pieces. luckily, my brothers are very talented, & they spoil me rotten.

i'll be glad when this week is over.

wow! me too! I love earth tones, my sister is the 'girly' one in my home, she loves knic-knacks and fancy stuff, but every time I get something like that as a gift I have no clue what to do with it!

thank you for the concern biff it turns out my sister borrowed it the other day, she said she'd pay me back (and give me extra!) when she gets paid so everything's fine now, I'm glad I foud out what happened to it!

I have to borrow some money from my Dad so I can go to the theatre with my friends tonight...I always hated asking for money, it makes me feel like such a hobo

you are a really responsible young lady, flame. i don't think it ever bothered my kids to ask for money. heck, i give it to em before they ask.

i'm proud of Nathan for getting that job though. i'm sure he did it so we wouldn't have to help him make it till his scholarships kick back in.

man, the rain keeps coming down here... I'm just glad I haven't floated away yet, I don't know why Oklahoma is getting so much rain latly, it rained when me and my friends went to see the new Harry Potter movie yesterday, I kinda miss sunny skies

it's been real rainy here too. nothing like OK though. we haven't had any big floods or anything, just lots of rain. i don't mind too bad, cuz it's been keeping the temperature down, but poor galoot has to mow all the time! unfortunately, it's impossible to mow in the rain.

it's a vicious circle.

usually by mid July, he's down to spot mowing, or no mowing at all. at this rate, he'll be mowing on Thanksgiving.

we're sick of buying gas for the mower. it's not cheap.


i don't know how nice i am, really. when you never had a job, it's hard to get one. maybe if they woulda both got jobs at 16, they would have an easier time finding one in their 20s.

yeah, but I kind of want to get a REAL job you know? I mean, Library work is fine...but it doesn't really pay a lot

I know what you mean about the mowing, out mower spits out huge balls of grass and stops working, it's terrible

my neighbor Duke came over yesterday and fixed my bike...I'm so thrilled about it I was about to think I would NEVER get it fixed...it sure beats the heck outa walking in the rain

not at the moment. he's a substitute teacher, & with summer & all...

he saved up a pretty good chunk of money when he worked at Job Corps though, so he's covered till school starts back up.

our mower leaves huge grass piles too, with it always being so wet & all. we have an old old riding mower, & a pretty good push mower. he mows his Mom's yard too, so when you add her yard & our yard, he has to mow like 3 acres worth of grass.

suffice it to say, i don't see a lot of him in the summer, unless there's a drought.


i bet you could get hired at wal mart in a different department. you're so responsible & all, & you have work experience...
