I have an itch on the roof of my mouth. Funny how that's pretty much the only time you have any sensation there. That or when you have a sore. There's never anything good going on up there.

Also, arachnid_flame, those pictures on Steven's thank you card were AWESOME! I am absolute rubbish with color, so that kind of work is really impressive to me.

me and my best friend spent the evening listenig to her new LPs on my record player ('cause she didn't have one) then I got to listen to some TMBG wile the record player was cleared off...it was nice

it's pretty nice, but we have to go out in the garage to listen to records because it's one of those huge wooden desk sized things that has the record player, 8-track tape player, and AM/FM radios all built into one...my Grandpa ussually piles stuff on top of it so we rarely get to use it

my Mom used to have a big old console stereo like that. it was long before the 8-Track though. i wonder if she still has it?

Yeah, he loved it. He'll be on later and I'm sure and he'll tell you the same, but he was pretty impressed. What did you use for the color? I can never get decent looking tones... they always look like pencil and never come out that smooth and clean.

PS: I remember 8 tracks but not record players. Although I did only have a black and white TV for a while growing up. That's about as retro as we got. Now I like to stay on the cutting edge of technology, like my 9 inch wide, 1 inch deep, 1lb touchscreen laptop. I dont even use a keyboard, it translates my handwriting.

I'm a huge geek.

i remember 8 tracks. i had a B&W TV for years. when i first got married, we borrowed my sister-in-law's B&W TV... then she needed it back. that's when we bought our first colour TV. it was a 19 inch, with pushbuttons on it to change the channels, (no remotes back then, unless you wanted to spend a ridiculous amount of money) & it cost us 500 bux! we had to take out a loan & make payments on it.

lol. In the preview on the redesign topic, you can see our TV. It's an old console TV also and it's barely in color, although it doesn't have the volume nob... it's actually buttons. But it is remote-less. I actually collect antiques... maybe one day (if I ever have my own home) I'll do an entire room in Retro American style with record players, a huge VCR (or Beta), ect.

I've always wanted to own a house and design each room as a different country in different time periods and have the living room and dining room be eclectic so that the cultures all mix together harmoniously. My room is like that right now... I have stuff from Morocco, India, Japan, China, India, France, England, and other places that I've never been.
