my sis says she'll take me to see a TMBG concert when they come near here (since my Dad's car is busted) she's so nice

also, I'm probably gonna get to go camping sometime this month:th I've only been camping a few times so I'm excited about it

i used to camp all the time. now, since i live in the middle of nowhere, it's kinda like camping all the time. (with water, electricity, & a TV & computer, of course)

i guess it's nothing like camping, really.

that's how I did it too! we had a cabin, but one time we slept in tents (well, didn't sleep really...just stayed up reciting movie quotes )

my Mom has a cabin too! my Dad built it with leftover stuff from his house building business. we used to go there a lot, but Mom's pretty old now, & it's real rough out there for walkin around & stuff. they (she, & some of my sibs & their kids) went out there on Memorial Day weekend, but galoot & i didn't feel like it & stayed home. i gotta go one of these times though, just to make her happy if nothing else.

we used to camp in tents before the cabin.

I went down to one of the neighborhood thrift stores this morning, and I got 4 pairs of pants (all high-waist) and a few more shirts for a grand total of roughly $16.

i really really need to sew the slip covers for my swing TODAY.

i need to call my sister today... i didn't know i was supposed to RSVP about the shower next week.

galoot is making a sidewalk coming out from the bottom of our porch steps with those squares you get at wal mart! we started with 6 squares, & it looks so good we're gonna get 6 more (or maybe 8) tomorrow. it's gonna be fantastic.

horrid's 48 Hours movie is up in TMB movies. it totally kicks @$$.

he & his brother really can act. it's great.

and he wrote it, & directed it.

and a new sidewalk sounds like a fun project, we're putting down new tile in our kitchen (to replace the carpet, my sister's dog tries to chew it up)

My folks are really encouraging me to find a job this summer, my aunt even offered to go halvsies on a laptop for me as an incentive for me to find a summer job(hey, a little bribery never hurt anyone, right)

i made the cutest movie of galoot workin on our sidewalk. he's so adorable.

we bought 9 more blocks yesterday. we had to stop & put more air in our tires, cuz our car was practically dragging on the road. then it rained, & he couldn't work on it. i don't know if he'll get to today either.

oh, & we were in town when the storm hit, & it blew over my umbrella right on top of my best Christmas cactus (but didn't hurt it) & knocked my aloe plant clean off the porch. it broke off some of it's spikes.

(but i think my aloe might have caught that fungus from the palms anyway. i think i'm gonna repot it, & try to remove all the messed up spikes & see if that helps any)

i really don't even like houseplants. i don't know why i ended up with so many.

That sounds awesome biff; the steps, not killing the plants should add some value to the home too. How's your brother's garden/yard doing? I stopped getting on myspace and we never talked about it again. Sorry about the plants. Hope it stops raining so you can put that man to work!

i haven't been out to the garden in the back, but my brother's flowers in the front have all been real pretty. they bloom at all different times, so there's something new to see every time i go there. i think i have a couple of pix. i'll try to scrounge some up...

he's been working on his boat lately. galoot got him a bunch of carpet from work & he's recarpeting the whole thing.

galoot coulda worked on the path today, but he decided to let things dry up a day first. i hope it doesn't rain again tonight. it's no rush though. he works so hard every day, i don't like to nag him to do anything when he gets home. plus, Mondays are especially tiring, cuz they're Mondays.

if all my plants die, it would actually be a relief. i do think i'll try to grow one of the babies from Noah's big spider plant, cuz it's been lookin pretty bad since the bird moved it. i can't go against nature. if a bird builds a nest, i have to support it's decision.

my basil is doing great though. the rosemary, not so good. my sister said rosemary takes longer, so maybe there's still hope.

i have gray thumbs. (i'd say brown, but brown is the colour of dirt...)

I'm also not drinking anymore (well, for a while). I had friends over and we watched the movie Sideways and had wine, but just lately I am disgusted with the taste of alcohol and the taste it leaves behind. I absolutely hate waking up the next morning with my mouth all dry and disgusting-tasting and filthy breath.

Haha oh gardening. I have a gray thumb too. I tried to grow watermelons a few times. The biggest they ever got were like the size of a softball.

So I'm back after what felt like a really long time to me. I finished school and finals finally and moved out of the dorms. My mom came out for a couple days and helped me buy a bed and air conditioner for my apartment, even though we didn't get to spend too much time together, it was great, because while I was writing papers and doing finals, she was being soooo helpful and getting things for me that I needed for the apartment, and we did go out to eat a few times. Moving was kind of hard because I don't have a car (and all my friends with cars were totally busy moving their own things), but my apartment is 3 blocks from the dorm I moved out of, so I had this one rolling suitcase and just loaded it up and went back and forth (it was about a 10 minute walk from dorm to apartment).

So yeah, I've been super busy. Also we don't actually have internet in our apartment, but yesterday my friend was over and he found that if we sit in the room in the front of our apartment, we can get our across-the-street neighbor's unsecured wireless internet. Its super slow, but it works! I have been going crazy without internet. I used it this morning to register for my classes next year. I have a really bad schedule, and will probably have to drop some stuff to stay sane

Our school's graduation was on saturday and a few of my good friends graduated this year, and its like, whoa, they're getting real jobs now and stuff. Its just crazy. Fortunately they are living in the neighborhood for the summer, so I will still get to see them some more. But whoa.

PS I dig the banner pic. Its nice how it gets changed up pretty often. I like that.

thanks for the compliment. i try to change it like once a week or so, & i try not to do too many repeats. i have hundreds of banners in my photobucket. i used to have 32 banners that randomly changed, but i decided it was probably a big pain in the @$$ for the dial up people.
