man, i feel like craaaap. am i just gonna have a cold once a month for the rest of my life or what?
i took a nap on the couch after dinner. i never do that.

i'm so home sick
biff- 05-16-2007
can't you go home for a little while?
i overslept this morning. i don't know if i forgot to turn on the alarm or what. i woke up at 4:02, which is about when i normally wake galoot up, so it didn't effect him, but i had to scramble a little bit.
that Nyquil sure knocks you out.
arachnid_flame- 05-16-2007
if I wake up even a few minutes late my whole day is out of wack, I'm just a slave of my own routine, I guess
"Give it Away" is one of my mom's faves, that's cool!
sorry you can't go home klim, how long have you been there anyway?
biff- 05-16-2007
it didn't mess up my day as bad as my nap did. i was breathing ok when i first laid down, but then my nose clogged up & i had to get back up & use some nose spray before i could go back to sleep. i didn't wake up again till like 11:30.
and i think i'm almost out of zicam... not that it seems to be helping all that much anyway.
i wish i woula remembered to bug Nathan about his FAFSA when he was here...
arachnid_flame- 05-16-2007
my nose is stuffy right now too, I hate when that happens because I can't taste any of my food and I do love food
I would take medicine for it, but I've never been to crazy about medicine
biff- 05-16-2007
bless your heart.
decongestants always dry me out, so i usually stick with IBs & nasal spray. it always makes me a little nervous though, cuz you can get hooked on it.
grchereck- 05-16-2007
I hope you and flame both feel better soon, biff. By the way, I like your new avatar and sig pic.
This morning on my way to return some library books downtown, I applied at a nice coffee shop called MJ Java -- I saw an ad in yesterday's paper that said they were looking for part-time people, and I couldn't resist. (I wonder if employees get discounts there? ) They should start calling applicants back for interviews in about a week.
klimdeeni- 05-17-2007
it would have been two weeks today, but we're HOME NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank god!!!!
no more driving to Dallas everyday (that's an extra hour on the road everyday rather then the 10 minutes I'm use to)
oh it's so good to be home Melissa is doing better, but those antibiotics are kickin her butt
biff- 05-17-2007
i'm glad you got to go home, klim.
with the job GR. thanks for hoping i get better.
i still feel like crap, at the moment. oh well.
i wonder if the Johns are gonna do any publicity photos for The Else? i'm kinda bored with all the old ones.
arachnid_flame- 05-17-2007
Yay klim! I'm glad you and milk are finnaly home (being in the hospital's miserable, I know) and it's good to hear she's doing well too, I was getting worried!
and good luck with the job GR, working at a coffee shop sounds nice
ditto on the feeling like 'crap' biff, I got my perscription for some off brand Claritin, and it knocked me out right after I took it! I did'nt wake up till 5:00AM this morning I swear, I have zero tolerance to anything
oooh, and new photos would be amazing!
biff- 05-17-2007
that reminds me, i need to take a generic Claritin today.
my mouth is completely raw from being so congested. owie. i should call Pam & have her hit up Dr Eric for something for me.
i want some new pictures of the Johns! i'm afraid they're all gonna be masked 'possible' Johns for The Else...
the weather is gorgeous today. too bad galoot's mower is broke, cuz he's gonna be in a really mowy mood when he gets home.
i wish i could just talk him into getting a new one. i can't stand the thought of watching him go through mower hell again all summer.
grchereck- 05-17-2007
Thanks for the good lucks, biff & flame.
I'm glad to hear that Milk's out of the hospital, klim.
klimdeeni- 05-17-2007
yeah it's magical thank you so much for everyone's support

we went & looked at new mowers yesterday, but then we ended up deciding to go ahead & fix the old Murray. they are good mowers, & they don't make em anymore. the chick at the repair shop told us that the parts for em are way less expensive than the newer mowers, & that she always tells anybody with a Murray to keep it running for as long as they can.
BUT, they can't even come get it till next Wednesday. our yard will be a jungle by then. (not to mention galoot's Mom's yard. i wish somebody else would step up & do it for her just this once) ((i don't blame them for not though. looong story))
i wish i'd get to feelin better. just going around mower shopping like to killed me last night. i thought i was ok at first, but by the end i was exhausted.
oh well, cest la vie.
