i heard on the news that May Day is a lot like labor day in other parts of the world.

my Mom told me the flower story. i'm not sure how true it is. that's apparently how they celebrated it when she was a kid. when i was little i always made a paper plate basket & picked her wildflowers & hung em on the doorknob for her & rang it & ran away.

if it falls on a friday some time, i think i'll get her with it again. i bet she'd get a kick out of it.

On our campus there is a statue thats pretty abstract art looking, and on May Day at noon (darn it, missed it) it makes a perfect shadow of a hammer and sickle. The guy who made it said in an interview for the school paper that it wasn't his intention (riiight ) but I think its pretty interesting.

today at the library the carbon monoxide detector-alarm things went off (at level 10!) they closed the Library and everything!! but it was just a false alarm, they think it was because the chemical solvent they put down to clean the carpet last night...I'm just glad no one was hurt!

holy crap, flame! i'm glad you're ok. those must have been some really bad chemicals to set off a carbon monoxide detector.

i remembered to say rabbit rabbit when i first woke up, but i couldn't remember how many times i was supposed to say it, so i said it like 5 or 6 times. i hope it counts if it's in whisper form...

I talked to my friends who were actually at the statue at noon and they said that if they had been there like an hour earlier, the shadow would have been a perfect hammer and sickle onto this circle of concrete below the statue.

Haha yeah, the posting on this board really goes in spurts, so when I'm bored in the middle of the day, often there aren't new posts, but then later there are lots.

it would probably be kind of stupid to leave flowers in a basket on melissa's door step then just walk inside the apartment

the rabbit rabbit is supposed to bring you good luck if you say it on the first day of the month before you say anything else. it's from a book or something. my friend blue, who used to post here, talked about it all the time.

she probably doesn't even do it anymore, since she got religion.
