Depends on the performer(s) or the type of music... My first show was Bob Dylan at the Omaha Civic Auditorium, and the people sitting in the audience were a pretty well-behaved (largely baby-boomer) crowd; and the crowd at the TMBG show I saw was a little rambunctious, jumping up-and-down and stuff, but there wasn't any moshing or anything like that. You might want to consider wearing earplugs, though, since concerts can get pretty loud.

if you're in the first couple of rows standing, yer probably gonna encounter a few drunks. i've had drunks squeeze in on me. i just squeeze em out. but i'm lucky, like i said. it helps to be with a big guy or 3.

i think a lot of it depends on the venue too. like i thought it was a lot less rowdy at the Pageant, than the Blue Note. in Fayetteville, i forget the name of the place & it's now defunct anyway, there was a really cool vibe. everybody loved everybody, & i can't think of a single incident.

so, you know... you just never know.

it's always fun. a little danger never hurt anybody.

I don't mind getting roughed up a little for a tmbg concert, but I'm worried about getting Milk too close to the stage. She's a fragile girl

i saw him last year. he came to Springfield MO & it's only a couple of hours away. we made galoot go, cuz he is one of his all time faves. we (the 4 of us) were so far back, Bob was like 1/2 an inch tall. it was fun though.

one tip... don't ever see anyone at the Shrine Mosque if it's the least bit warm outside. they don't have air-co. it was like sitting in a furnace. it was in April, but it was unseasonably warm that day.

other than that, it was real fun. Nate recorded the whole thing with galoot's little pocket sized tape recorder.


i'm still not even hungry after all the food i ate yesterday.

i carried all the delicate plants in last night, & then it never rained.

my MP3 player has a built in sound recorder I haven't thought of a use for it yet, but I'm sure I will

they said on the news this morning that there'd be thousands of people at that funeral today they are even going to cancel some of the afternoon classes today!

galoot's will be smaller, since he was laid off today, but i would pay them to get him a day off, so it's all good.

he gets next friday off with pay cuz it's good friday.

at the Shirt Factory he always had to work the saturday before to make it up.

i still need to throw that load in the dryer.

I like wearing my TMBG t-shirt when I go somewhere new (in hopes of finding other fans...) this one guy stared at my shirt and said "no way", I wasn't sure if it was a compliment or an insult so I kinda waved at him

One time, I wore my TMBG shirt to the boardwalk, and a couple of girls walked by singing "They might be giants, boy..."

I live in a little county in Oklahoma, so TMBG fans are few and far between

I went to the doctor's today, apparently I have super-bad allergies...I never knew! I have to take claritin once a day...I'm not a big fan of medicine

he was just laid off for one day. they do that every once in a while. other times he'll put in an extra saturday. it just depends on how many people want boats at the time, cuz every one is custom made for whoever's buying it.

we had the nicest time in town with the kids tonight. it had been a long time since we all went to wal mart together... & out to eat. usually they get here so late on friday, but since they were already here, we had time.
