I got to meet my dad's new "girlfriend" over the weekend too (long story) my parents split up not too long ago I thought it was a phase, but I guess it's official now...anyways, my dad's probably going to move to Arkansas with her...it'll kinda suck not getting to see him as often considering he'll live over 2 hours away...

I aced my physiology test today, I even got bonus points and the Art Club is going to go on another field trip to Tulsa next week man, I love that kind of stuff


so, does anyone know about what's going on with the writer's strike (I didn't catch the news last night)

Sorry to hear about your parents, flame. (My parents -- out of economic necessity -- are currently sharing a house, but they officially ended their marriage 6 years ago this month.)

the writers are on strike. the late night talk shows are in reruns. most shows aren't taping any new episodes. i'm not sure what's up with the soaps. i think most of em have fairly large stockpiles of new shows saved up.

it shouldn't hurt the movie industry for a while...

i wish they'd just give the writers what they want. this is putting a lot of people out of work... not just the writers. also, i don't think they want anything more than what they deserve anyway.

i think that's the basic jist.

yesterday, my best friend bought a nice red and black no-name bass guitar at a pawn shop and when I get paid I'm going in halfway on the price I got to keep it at my house last night, I think I'm gonna give it a try, it seems like a fun instrument (I was trying to learn the bass line of "The Guitar" last night but there were a lot of different versions of the tabs )

I don't like this whole writer's strike thing, I don't have my daily dose of the Daily Show and the Colbert Report I heard there were some writers even protesting on the sets of some shows I hope it all blows over soon, but I don't think it will...isn't it mainly because the digital media industry? I mean, they don't get paid for that sort of thing most of the time, so I could understand why they'd be angry...but still...I'm a television junkie, I hope it doesn't last long!

i am 100% on their side. i mean... the studios make millions! all they want it their 8$ or whatever it is.

they went on strike in the 80s. it lasted 4 months. this one might go longer though, i fear.


it's college basketball season now. i'm sure i'll barely miss a thing.

I liked being out of school today, I actually got to ride my bike around it's been forever since I've gotten to do that (with school and work) I usually don't get home until after dark

well, i can't really see them being on a talk show that's in reruns... unless they rerun one of the ones they were already on.

The 123s isn't coming out till what... like February? maybe it'll be over by then.

i was kinda hoping for more Else appearances before then, but i guess not now.

Noah called last night cuz his key got stuck in his lock. he had to call a locksmith to come fix it.

he asked for galoot when he called, & i freaked a little cuz they always ask for their Dad when their cars break down & i was afraid it was something like that. it was a relief, when i found out it wasn't a broken car, but it did cost him 59 bux to fix it.

it's always something...

i wish i had a pan with a bottom made of screen so my seeds would cook faster.

my dad moved to Arkansas this week I guess their going to sell the house soon, since neither of my parents live there now (my mom is living out of town with some friends of hers) I've been living with my grandparents for some time now though, so it won't efect me too much...I'll have to move my electric organ out of there though

i was making pumpkin seeds. my sister always saves me all her seeds when she carves her jack-o-lanterns. she made 7 of em this year.

i boil em in salt water till they get saturated & sink, then i bake em in the oven till they're dry. they came out perfect this year.

i think the 59 bux was mostly cuz the guy had to come out at 9 at night. when you need a locksmith, they can charge you whatever they want. i expected it to be like 100.

the guy told him to turn the reciept in to the landlord, cuz usually they reimburse you... but i don't know if his will. they still haven't fixed his heater. bastards.

they're both coming home tonight! i haven't seen Nathan since the weekend of the TMBG show, September 15th! that is way too long for me.

I'm going to my friend's dorm tonight to play instruments (well, attempt to anyway ) we kinda share our instruments, so I'm learning to play the bass and the ukelele right now (I even found ukelele music for 'I Hope That I Get Old Before I Die' it'll be fun!) and on Monday I've gotta get up really early because the bus to the art club trip to Tulsa leaves at 6:45AM gosh, I hope I don't miss it!
