i already put his belt in an envelope to mail it. we gotta go to town today anyway. i love how they have that package mailing thingy in our new post office now. no lines.

i still haven't looked for my wig. i know it's in my closet somewhere though. that & my Jack-O-Lantern shirt, & my crystal tiara & i'm done. it's not like i'm going anywhere. i'm just doing it for Amy's kids.

if i even feel that ambitious. otherwise i'll just mess up the hair i already have on my head.

i feel lots better since i had my nap. i wish you weren't so tired though.

aw thanks, it's okay I think I'll sneak a nap after I get everything done at work...I'm usually the last one left up front after 5:00

I just heard that my school is not holding a Halloween costume contest this year we got a new principal and he's been changing things up, the contest is a tradition here, and ya just don't mess with tradition! aw well, I never win anyways...I think I'll just be a witch, that's easy

i hate how schools are stopping all that fun stuff. when my kids were little we went to the Halloween carnival at the Kindergarten every year. they don't even have one anymore.

remember back when i posted about the froggy that was living in my plant on the porch? well, i had to bring in my basil plant when it got real chilly a couple of weeks ago. i was kind of afraid i'd carry in a frog, but he mostly lived in my other plant, the rosemary that never grew much. (did i mention there were at least 2? cuz i saw 2 sticking out of the rosemary one day)

anyhoo, i kinda picked it up & dropped it down (from a short distance) like 10 times before i brought it in... & i figured if he was in there it would scare him out.

i put it in Noah's room in his little bay window thingy. i watered all the inside plants yesterday. a while later i went in there for something, & i looked at the window, & right there sitting on the window sill was my frog!

galoot had to catch him & put him out last night. poor little guy. i bet he was real hungry after being in the house for 2 weeks.

i need an exacto knife.

wow, that's an amazing story we had a resident frog at my parent's house for like a month once (unless it was a different frog) he stayed in the bathroom and would get in the bathtub when someone was running bathwater I guess he was trying to get warm or something!

it's good that you found him and let him out though I bet he was REALLY confused...

I miss back in the day when Halloween was a big thing...

Today was the first really good day I've had in a while. I feel like I totally aced my chem test, comp sci math class was actually really interesting, I cut my other math class, then went to a Japanese restaurant for lunch by myself. I had a big sushi craving They have awesome lunch specials. I think I'm gonna make that my new Friday afternoon routine. Soup, salad, 3 sushi rolls, and a soda for the price of a sandwich and drink? Win! Plus I brought my math book and read while waiting, and I probably learned more than if I had gone to class

Tonight I'm gonna go to the movies with some friends and see the Darjeeling Limited. I <3 Wes Anderson Then my friend is having people over to play Kings.

I ended up not going to the movies. I went over my friend's house and we made dinner, then people came over and we played a drinking game called kings. We embelished the graffiti wall with our own art and that was really fun. However, it ended up pretty bad. I hadn't drank in a really long time, and kinda on an empty stomach, and I got sooooo drunk. I woke up around 11am on my friends dining room floor with a headache that felt like and threw up like 20 min later. Now I remember why I don't like to drink anymore
My friend, whose apartment it was, felt the same way, so his idea to self-medicate was to (except we werent smiling and werent cool) so we did that and I laid on his couch and fell asleep. Then when I woke up like 2 hrs later I felt completely good, and we went to the diner and got amazing omlettes.

But yeah guys. Moderation is good! Excess = bad!

So I have 2 hockey games today, and feel all weak and shaky right now. But hopefully I'll be good to go tonight for the hockeysss. Then we are going to go see the movie downtown!

man, that's a hard major/minor combo. i'm impressed!

i got a little drunk yesterday too. i didn't have to puke though. YaY me.

Last night after my hockey games we saw the Darjeeling Limited at 11pm downtown, then we waited for the bus, which my friend told me the last run was at 1:30 am, but it definitely stopped before 1am, when we got to the bus stop. So my friend and I were like, oh no big deal at all, we'll just walk to this subway stop thats like 2 blocks away. Well it turns out that entire subway line is closed and under construction. We walked at least a mile to find an open train stop to get home. However, it was a really nice night, and my friend and I didn't mind walking the deserted downtown of Chicago, talking about life .

We finally got to a train stop, rode that back to the south side, then got to the bus stop to wait for the bus. We saw the bus pull away as we crossed the street, and were like "oh no." We waited for a while, and these 2 med school students were waiting too, and a taxi went by, and we were like, oh lets split a taxi, the 4 of us. It will be cheaper than taking the bus. So we got into the taxi. It turned out the driver was creepy and crazy and wouldn't let out one of the kids where he wanted. Then when it was our turn to get off, he wanted to charge us $12 when the meter read $5.50. We had to like yell at him to let us off, and I haggled the guy down to $6 (which I still thought was a bit much, but we were in his car, and he seemed weird. not worth it). We felt sorry for the last guy who had to get off and pay the whole thing. But yeah, it was a fun night.

i had fun last night. Nathan called me from the Memphis TMBG show & i got to listen to almost the whole thing... even though most of it sounded terrible.
