good luck with that! i think you'd be a good babysitter cuz you're so nice.
i love kids, but i don't really like caring for kids who aren't mine. i don't have a lot of patience. at least i'll admit it though.
i did my Timmy shelf this morning before my nap. now i'm workin on the entertainment center. man, there is so much dust in this house! i've had to take a claritin every day since Saturday, & i still feel all sneezy. :sick oh well...
luckily, i had to wash a doily & now i gotta let it dry before i can do anything else, so i'm taking a little break.
i put it out on the porch though, so it should dry pretty quick.
tomorrow... the computer shelf!
then i'm gonna beat galoot to Noah's room. if i could find the missing Gameboy, i would be the big hero of the year.
it's not the magnets... it's the stuff that's stuck under em. it makes the whole place look slubby.
my living room & kitchen are all connected, so it's like one big room. if one room is messy the whole thing is messy.
arachnid_flame- 09-25-2007
yeah sounds like a true mission! so, galoot is in on the cleaning too? it's good that you have some help on such a big project
We have one of those connected kitchen/living room/dining room things too
I'm sorry that the dust is bothering you biff allergies are terrible!

well thank you! I appreciate that, it's not the niceness I'm worried about though...it's my tendencey to forget about and misplace things that I'm concerned about!
I got free donuts at work today this job is sweet!
biff- 09-26-2007
yeah, it could be dangerous to misplace somebody else's kid.
galoot helped over the weekend with vacuuming, but other than that i've been doing it all myself. he works all day. he talks about cleaning Noah's room a lot...
i might save the computer shelf for later & go start on his room today. it looks pretty good out here. i think the rest can wait a little.
or maybe i'll take the day off.
arachnid_flame- 09-26-2007
days off are fun!
I have an eye doctor appointment today! I get to miss spanish class!
biff- 09-26-2007
woohoo!
the board was messed up for most of the day. *kicks forumer*
that day off thing sounds pretty good. i'm getting so far though, it's hard to stop.
i got the computer shelf done, & Noah's room is looking halfway decent. i really need some big tupperwares before i can finish it...
i still haven't found the missing Gameboy, but if it's in there i will sooner or later.

I finally went to see a doctor this morning. (My chest congestion wasn't getting any better, and I actually had an earache last night.) Turns out I've got a sinus infection, plus I'm in the early stages of bronchitis -- but I'm going on antibiotics for the next two weeks, which should clear those things up
biff- 09-26-2007
oh no! i'm glad you went to the doctor!!!
i'll put you on the prayer chain in the morning.
arachnid_flame- 09-27-2007
bronchitis isn't good at all I'm sorry, I hope you get better soon GR!
it's good that you went to the doctor before it got any worse than it did
I got good news from the eye doctor yesterday we had to stay there a long time though because it was storming but my eyes are doing better so I'm good
good luck finding the missing missing Gameboy biff, it sounds like a job for Indiana Jones or something
grchereck- 09-27-2007
Thanks, biff & flame.
Even without insurance, the doctor's exam and the prescription only cost me about $140.
And I'm glad to hear about your eyes, flame.
biff- 09-28-2007
man, it sux not to have insurance! i can't believe how doctors gouge you these days. how long were you in there? maybe 5 minutes? bastards.
YaY for your eyes, flame!
i need to get mine checked, but...
i didn't get any major cleaning done yesterday cuz i spent an hour on the phone with Applecare.
oh well, i was due for a day off.
i say!

Health is one area I really luck out. I'm never sick and almost never hurt. I have a very unusually strong immune system. That said, I'm usually the one stuck having to take care of sick people... "Send Bobby, he's pretty much immune to everything." I guess it worked well when I worked in a pharmacy though. Everyone took at least one sick day a month, but I never had to take one... or rather never got to take one.
Deep Thought of the Day: If trees could scream would we be so cavalier about cutting them down? We might if they screamed all the time for no good reason.

I think the exam itself was closer to a half-hour, maybe a little more than that.
(I'm just glad that I didn't need to go to a hospital emergency room; Lord know what that would've cost me. )
biff- 09-29-2007
oh, i know! Noah got 3 stitches in his chin once when we didn't have insurance, & it was more than 700 bux!
you're pretty lucky to have a doctor who will spend so much time with you though.
i hope you're starting to feel better now.
i'm kinda like that too, Bobby. i don't normally catch stuff. when i get sick it's usually something major, like brain surgery.
except last winter, when i caught one cold after another for like months! i was afraid to leave the house. but even then, the kids would visit & i kept catching their sicks. it was awful!!!
arachnid_flame- 09-29-2007
good imune systems rock
healthcare is so expensive! I'm glad you didn't have to go to the emergency room GR, I hope those antibiotics help you get better quikly
I was really lucky too, since my family is kind of low income and our insurance doesn't cover contact lenses my eye doctor paid for them out of his own pocket he's such a sweet guy, I'm hoping now that I have a job I can start paying for them myself

man, that is pretty deep...I might have to ponder that for a while
grchereck- 09-29-2007
Thanks again, biff & flame.
I am starting to feel better, actually.
