yeah, the tradition of saving it, I mean if you were saving the same change since high school you would need a much bigger jug

yeah, when the kids were little it made all the difference. we were always broke back then, but you never miss the change.

galoot was beat down when he got home today. i hope everything goes back to normal for him soon.

no offense on anyone, but it seems kinda stoopid to change machines at the same time that you start a new model year, & the production is way up. but you know... factories never make any sense.

yesterday we were getting all our change gathered up on the kitchen table so we could cash it in today. i had a big ziploc bag with a bunch of rolls of quarters in it. when i picked it up to put it in a box, the bag ripped & a roll of quarters rolled out & fell right on my foot! oh, the pain!!!

it still hurts this morning, & it looks like it's gonna have a bruise, & all my shoes, even my slippers, hit me right in the spot where it's hurt.

it's gonna be a fun trip to town, all limpin through wal mart.


on a brighter note, we weighed the box with all our change in it & it weighed 70 pounds! that oughta be enough for 4 TMBG tickets & some birthday. i might even end up with enough to send Dr Eric an extra 50 bux.

I re-applied for a job at Wal-Mart again today...appearently they are hiring again...it would be nice if I could get hired, all my friends work there, plus it pays a heckuva lot better than the Library

between galoot's change & my change, we ended up with a little more than $780 bux! i guess that saving change is the one thing you can do where laziness pays off.

are you gonna tell us how much change that is when you get it cashed? I'm super curious

$780?! that's a lotta cash! I'm glad they have machines that count change these days, counting all that out by hand would be a real pain!

my Mom is supposed to get a check on Tuesday, and she's gonna give me money to put back for the trip to St. Louis (we're taking a bus...I don't trust our junky car to get us there and back...too risky )

also, we took our dog to get a free flea dip today, he almost got away and me and my dad had to chase him down the street! they gave us free dog treats and coupons for bringing him out, with how bad fleas have been lately, it was worth the effort!

i double checked with the kids, & they're both still in.

i hate when it's so hot that i don't even want to go to the grocery store. i think we're gonna skip it & go tomorrow...

yeah, I know exactly what you mean, we drove past the bank yesterdayy and it said it was 108 degrees! we were helping my friend move into her dorm, it was hard work, but I like that sort of thing so I'm glad we got it finished

it was kind of funny because right when we got it all done we accidentally locked ourselves outside and had to run barefoot across the hot parking lot to the housing offices to get them to unlock it for us...my feet still sting a little

anyways, school starts back the 16th for me I've already bought all of my stuff and picked up my schedule

also, my ticket came in the mail today! my dad said he'll go with me to the St. Louis show, we'll be taking a bus there I think hopefully I can save up enough money by then!

& i thought 103 was hot!

it's nice you're happy about back to school. are you a Senior this year?

i'm so excited about the St Louis show! i'll get to meet an actual board member! this is gonna be a first for me.

ps... we finally went for groceries, & it was a lot of fun.
