i know. it's really irritating.

well, it's root canal day part one. this oughta be fun.

maybe he'll give me some more pain pills.... but then again, maybe not... since the whole point of a root canal is to remove the nerve so the pain stops.

but a girl can dream... & so can an old lady like me.

if they are going to be removing a nerve (as in cutting a part of your body that feels the pain off) they had better give you some meds!!!
that would hurt SO bad!

I had a root canal and actually fell asleep during the procedure. It really was quite boring. When I woke up, the doctor dude said I had been snoring.

i hope that's what happens to me... except the snoring part.

i don't think they cut into you when they do a root canal, klim. they already cut into me last week, so i sure hope not.

i'm glad they don't have to cut into you anymore (or at least for now)

No, just the local. I think they gave me about three shots around the tooth, and probably one in the nerve. I don't remember being uncomfortable at all, so I guess whatever they did, they did right.

well, i survived. they were having trouble with their novacane or something i guess, cuz he kept giving me shots, & i kept not getting numb. it was the worst pain of my entire life. childbirth is nothing compaired to what i went through today.

now i know what the core of my soul feels like.

plus, there was a big stink at galoot's work, so he was late & i had to get Granny to drive me there. never again! if galoot can't drive me next time, i ain't goin. she scared the hell out of me.

I'm sorry biff does it still hurt now or only when it was done? They should put you out for stuff like that. I think I'm gonna eat an apple a day from now on cos you're like way tougher than me so now I'm freakin out tell them to empty the whole damn syringe next time

Man, that sucks. The only thing I've ever heard being compared to the pain of childbirth is a shoulder dislocation. Biff, I'm so sorry you had to go through that. But think of it now as never having removed 1/32th of the chance of you having to go back to the dentist!

yeah, it still hurts today. i never could fall back to sleep this morning, so i finally just got up & dyed my hair & took a pain pill. i'm feelin a little better now.

it's been a long time since i had to take a pain pill at 10 in the morning.

childbirth was never any big deal to me. i had both of my boys naturally, & they came really fast. i've had worse pain than that lots of times.

anyhoo, i have to have another root canal next week i think... unless they didn't schedule enough time for it, i'm not really sure since i missed my appointment last week.

i figure it's my own fault anyway, cuz i waited so long. it's hard to justify hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars worth of dental work when you have no money though.

thank goodness for dental insurance! if i get through all this, i swear i'll never let em get this bad ever again.

i hope everybody learns from my mistakes & doesn't ever put off going to the dentist, cuz you always pay for it in the end. i wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.

(ps... i guess i coulda went with dentures, but i'd rather go through some pain now to not have fake teeth. dentures are just gross)

My grandma has dentures and when we were little she'd make the bottom teeth stick out and touch her nose and it freaked the holy hell out of us
