last night when galoot was putting in the codes from his Dew caps, he got this error message we had never seen before. it told us that we had to restart & to hold down the power button for several seconds. (it was in like 5 different languages, which was kinda odd) anyhoo, i held down the button, & it turned off, then it came back on, but i had the start up window for a looong time before it finally went back to the desktop.

anyhoo, this morning it's doing this thing where when i submit a post it doesn't go back to the thread. the screen just goes white & it doesn't go anywhere. when i open a new window & go back to the forum, my post is there. it might just be the board, but i don't think so.

so hey, BigJohn... it's been a couple of years since i reformatted a computer, & that was iggy's iMac. i've never done anything to this one. got any tips? i don't even know where to start.

i guess i better back up some more stuff before it's too late. i'm gonna try to hold off on doing anything till after iggy wakes up, so i can see if he has anything on here that he can't bear to lose...

i think it's the board. i can't stay logged in on IE now. i'm here on safari. i checked the support forum & there were people complaining about it.

i'm also getting weird white-screens on the board.

I have no idea what prompted you to restart your computer. If it doesn't do it again, i wouldn't worry about it too much.
