I first heard about Schiavo a couple of years ago (on talk radio's Glenn Beck Show)...

No opinion yet, but it's no-win situation: Leave the feeding tube out, and a human life is taken away (via starvation, a slow and very painful way to go); put it back in, and Terri continues living in her vegetative state (which, if she is capable of feeling and/or thought, must be frustrating as hell for her -- being barely able to move, and unable feed or take care of herself).

I agree, though, that Congress should stay the hell out of it and not make it into a Federal case.

They should leave it to Terri's family, doctors, etc.
I also think Terri's husband is an asshole (to put it mildly) for having kids with another woman while staying married to Terri.

I think the only reason he never obtained a divorce from Terri was that he could have his say in whether or not she should be euthanised (rather than leave it up to her parents, who would rather keep her alive).
