yeah, i heard about the whole dispute about her burial. tmbgtalk/-eyes.gif

you made some good points i wish i woulda made about Christopher Reeve. (i just didn't want to bring it up again, but now that you have...) he was paralized from a spinal injury. Terri is in a persistant vegitative state. they are two different things. in the state she is in, her cerebral cortex is liquified. when you're like that, you can't think. you feel nothing. she's not suffering, because she is unaware of anything. they have her on demoral on the off chance that she can feel, but she truly can't.

i saw a story on the news last night about the money. Michael spent almost all the money he got from the lawsuits trying to honour her wishes. after she's gone he'll only have about 50,000 left. he's not doing this for the money. he's trying to follow her wishes.

who is outside the hospice having press conferences all day long & turning everything into a big circus? it's not Michael, it's her parents. i feel bad for them, but their daughter died 15 years ago. they need to accept it & stop the media circus & let her die in peace.

i asked bee (cuz he's home right now) what he would want me to do if he was in Terri's position. he said he'd want me to let him go. that is what i would do, nomatter how bad it hurt me. it's my job as a parent to honour my children's wishes. it's their life, not mine. i would hope they would do the same for me.

i don't dip my hands into politics.

biff- 11-03-2005
that's nice for you. it makes life a lot easier.

i can't seem to help myself. i've had opinions since before i could talk. tmbgtalk/-bigblush.gif

the thing about the Teri Schaivo case is that it never should have been 'political' in the first place. tmbgtalk/dunno.gif (IMO)

Then why did you bump a 7-month old topic about them? tmbgtalk/doh.gif

pooch2nooch- 11-03-2005
???what are you talking about???, sir.

You brought up a topic in which the last post was made 7 months ago. This is often referred to as thread mining, but bump is a more commonly used and less offensive term.

klimdeeni- 11-03-2005
actually the thread was bumped up by someone voting in it the day before he posted in it so for all he knew, it was still in discussion

simple mistake and nothing to start a fight over tmbgtalk/-wink.gif

(I'm here alot so I remember seeing it when it was just floating there with no new posts on it and at the top of the list the other day)

biff- 11-03-2005
i wouldn't classify it as a fight. it was just a misunderstanding & a curious question or two. i don't care if a topic is old. if someone has something to say, they should be allowed to say it. tmbgtalk/Twilight_anim.gif

klimdeeni- 11-03-2005
well I know, but it kinda felt like a fight was about to rise or something so I was just trying to grab it before it got all haywire tmbgtalk/Twilight_anim.gif

pooch2nooch- 11-03-2005
tmbgtalk/-ponder.gif ...what's going on here? i'm not much of an confrontationalist. and i guess klim was right, i did think this was a current topic. However, i don't think Q meant any offense to me. I know Q's wise enough not to start an arguement on this forum.

biff- 11-04-2005
well, there you go then. tmbgtalk/-th-u.gif

How dare you call me wise. I'll see you after school. tmbgtalk/-laugh.gif

I knew there was a reason this thread stayed at the top for so long. Hey biff, isn't there an option where votes in a poll won't bump a topic?

And believe me, I mean no offence at all, but if you don't dip your fingers into politics, why post at all in a political thread no matter how old it is?

biff- 11-06-2005
yes, but what's the point of voting in a poll if it's gonna stay at the bottom after you do? nobody would even know you voted. tmbgtalk/dunno.gif

i don't care how old a thread is. if someone wants to say something on it, they should be able to... even if it's just to say that they don't care. tmbgtalk/-laugh.gif

Well, personally I think this thread should have died along with Terri.
