I put the flashlight mod on, and I liked it. the base was creepy and hell was nasty all in all I had fun. My brother also bought a 7.1 surround sound system for the computer which made it even creepier

What the hell...Why would you download a mod for Doom 3? That completely ruins the game experience and takes all of the fun out of the game. It makes it easy and crappy. The flashlight is a separate weapon for a reason, that's how the game is supposed to be played! I'm sorry, but in my eyes, you haven't beaten Doom 3 until you've done it on Medium difficulty with no cheats and no unofficial mods. I beat it the day after it came out on Hard and I'm proud of it.
Beating it with a mod would basically take away all pride I had for myself. >_> Oh, well. I just wish those mods never came out.

And btw, Surround Sound does rock for this game.

cos if I'd wanted to shoot at stuff in the dark I would have bought a cap gun and sat in my closet.

that's what i call him too. (he's only 9) i tell him.... when my boys were your age, they didn't use cheat codes.

i never could find any for the game he wanted anyway.
