They call me Skullivan and I've fancied TMBG's work since the time of 'Birdhouse'. I'm a member of several music forums and I've finally decided to become a member of this one. You all seem like fine people. I'm certain to enjoy my time here.

I attended the TMBG show last night at Bimbo's in San Francisco. The Johns were in fine form, although a bit relaxed from all their recent time off. "Snail Shell" was the surprise of the night as I don't remember the last time I heard it live. Flans even touched my hair as he repeatedly jabbed his open hand over my head during "Robot Parade". Tonight they're including some Venue Songs in their set and will have a guest narrator on board. I'm really looking forward to tonight's
performance. If you see me, please come say hello.

i hope you have fun here. we love getting new members. i'm not gonna be around tomorrow (i'm goin south to see my kids at college) so if you need anything then my co-administrator is horrid goblin.

so... how many shows have you been to? do you live in Cali? we have a couple of other members there.

if you'd like to write a more in-depth review of the show last night, that would be great. you could post it in TMB Giants to start, & when it sinks to page 2 i can move it to the archives. (but you don't have to if you don't want)

I live 30 miles East of San Francisco (I'm glad The Johns came here instead of L.A. for their West Coast jaunt this year). I've probably seen them seven times and I don't anticipate to see much of them anymore. My wife cannot tolerate their musical stylings, refuses to attend their shows with me and frowns upon being left home alone everytime they come to town.

my hubby loves Them, & so do my kids. so that makes it nice for me.

galoot (my hubby) also has a very hard time telling me no, which works out great for me, cuz they never come to Arkansas, so it's always like a 5 or 6 hour drive to go see em, & i'm too blind to drive myself.

(if that wasn't a run-on sentence, i don't know what was)

Thank you for the warm welcome. I will check out your videos and let you know what I think. I don't see creative output as "junk" it's always "art" to me.

When it comes to most things my wife is very tolerant. She will let me have my way most of the time. I don't know what it is about TMBG that drives her mad. She thinks I'm insane for listening to "that stupid music".

I can't imagine driving 6 hours to a concert

well, you gotta do what you gotta do. 6 isn't as bad as 8, & we've gone 8 for shows too.

they actually did play in AR twice, that i know of. the first time i saw em was in Fayetteville AR, & that's only like 3 1/2. i wish they'd come back here.

long drives are the price you gotta pay for living in the woods.

so... did you like TMBG before you got married? (cuz i would have a really hard time marrying someone who didn't like TMBG)
