Is Spybot S&D (Search & Destroy) ... kicks butt. Works very well. Windows-only.

Spybot Web Page

Prevents Adware and Spyware infestation. Free; many frequent updates. Immunizes your system as well as cleans it up. Rocks like Pantera.

i still have the same problem
bigjohn, do you know how to delete things that say they are being used by another program?
I went to my task manager and ended everything I wasn't doing under the Processes tab, then I tried to delete them manually, but it still gave me that massage

biff- 06-17-2005
he told me how to do that on my Mac yesterday, but it's probably different on a PC. tmbgtalk/dunno.gif

(the topic is in here though, if you wanna try...)

I'll take a look in a bit
it's not bugging me right now so I'm gonna leave it alone for now
now I'm having flash issues, but I'll get past it tmbgtalk/-grnbiggrin.gif

I'll reply in the other topic about deleting stubborn files, to keep the topics in order.

I've been using SpyBot and Ad-Aware side by side for some time now (better safe than sorry) and just recently I discovered third free and effective one: Microsoft AntiSpyware. A very creativley named spyware extermination program by Microsoft. I've been using all three for a couple of weeks now and I have to say that I prefer it over the others. Have you heard of it, BigJohn?

BigJohn- 06-20-2005
No, I haven't heard of it! I'll have to go check it out!
