Wow, Horrid, that's weird about the eye ... I've had lasik surgery, and i can tell you that they did NOT anesthetize my eye. Maybe your friend should look for a different surgeon. Seriously.
1) The eyeball does not have any nerve endings, and therefore does not need to be anesthetized.
2) When I had my surgery, they used anaesthetic eyedrops, to anesthetize the
eyelids.
Tell your friend to not breathe through his nose. Otherwise he'll smell them smokin' his eyeball and it smells like burning hair. >blech<
I can't imagine why a doctor would advocate getting an
injection in the eyeball. May be time for a second opinion?
