Well, let's face it. War fascinates. And World War II is the most photographed and video'ed war in history. It stands to reason that they want to show as much as possible. They do the same thing on the 4th of July, when they have all their War of Independence programs, or their Gettysburg programs. But in those cases, they work from photographs and/or paintings. You could pretty much watch those with your eyes closed and get the same effect. But with WWII, you can be presented with so much fascinating footage, they flood the airwaves with it.
I'm not saying they shouldn't cut back, but I think some of their programs are fascinating (the ones about WWII, that is), and they have spawned a bunch of interesting shows about the creation of tanks, the evolution of weapons ... all that stuff.
Anyway, they certainly have enough to have their own WWII History Channel, and that probably wouldn't be a bad idea. But you can't blame them for milking their cash cow.

Hmmm... my internet didn't work most of the day. Naturally I forgot about the ultra-quick "Unplug the crappy modem and let it reset trick" to see if it was actually down... of course it wasn't.

i hate when that happens!!!

well, i just spent the last 20 minutes attempting to clean up the half a bowl of Frosted Flakes out of galoot's recliner, & off the carpet, & the wall, that somebody who wasn't me spilled.
milk spills are the worst. i hope his chair doesn't end up all stinky. it was soaked. there were even flakes under it.
i sprayed everything with lysol.

Lysol always does the trick for me.

yeah, it's good stuff.
i soaked up as much as i could with a towel first, & then wiped it with a wet rag, & then did the dry towel thang again, before the lysol. i went & smelled it just now, & it smelled ok. it's still damp in the corner where the bulk of the spill went though.
i told 'he who shall be nameless' that he's not allowed to eat anything in his Dad's chair from now on.

i got bumped out of a cat's top 8, & it only has 9 friends. what a world...
it's a good thing cats are disposable, or i might be a little upset.

i'm friends with a CAT on myspace, but we're not good enough friends (i don't guess) for me to be in his top 8, even though he only has 9 friends.
a cat. a small furry mammal. i can't say it any plainer than that.
