OK.. co-worker #1 still annoying..

But.. here's co-worker #2...
I walk in this morning.. she says "How are you this morning.."
So I say "Eeerh.. I started having a sore throat last night so I think I'm getting sick, but..."
She cuts me off to say. "Well my husband had to pull over so i could vomit this morning"
So I say..." ...but I took a allergy pill this morning..."
Her" yup, I don't know what it was, but I just had to suddenl vomit."
Me: ... so the good news is I got great sleep last night and the bad news is I'm drowsy because of the allergy pill."
Her: My husband asked if it was him and I couldn't figure it out, told him it didn't happen last week while he was gone...etc... etc...etc...

Me: *walking back to my desk* Wow, that's not good....

*thinks to self* I really hate it when someone asks you something so they can one-up you on it... on everything.

Recently in my shithole job, I had to go to a guy's boss and tell him to take him off my project. He was so confrontational - which itself isn't bad, but when I gave him directives to take care of, and assignments to complete, and then he gives status by saying, "Oh, I didn't know you wanted me to do anything, so in the meantime I've been researching this cool pet technology that I really, really want to use, and can't we just use it even though it doesn't work for our company, but would loook great on my resume?" ... I told his boss, "I want him off the project, now." And his boss smiled and said, "So many people have had problems with him. But no one ever says anything."

So I say Fuck Him and the Dalai Llama he rode in on.

And my shithole job is one pile of shit less stinky.

this is the point where you shoulda said "oh caught a glimpse of your reflection in the rear view mirror again huh?" and then gone on about you business

here are two phrases I'm sick of hearing at work

"don't worry you'll be on the forks in no time"

"don't worry you'll get used to it"

I get this every time someone at work asks hows it going? and I say ok, even if I say pretty good I get one of those to responces, mind you I'm doing a job clearly designed to turn people into robots so some form of binary speach pattern was to be expected

I was out sick yesterday.

(but she vomited again Wednesday morning and again at home last night by the way)

Ended up Jodie's car had a leaky battery so I had to take care of that..then Marlee had to go to the doctor (she's got a little cold) and it wasn't unitl about 3:00p.m. when I got home..and then I had to do the final edits on INsite (we went to press last night) and I got to finally lay down and be "sick" at about 7:00p.m. I went to bed at 9:00 about 30 seconds after putting Marlee down.

I feel better today though.. thanks.

It's been a hellava 2 weeks.

i'm glad you're feeling a little better now, Bif. tmbgtalk/Twilight_anim.gif

when you have a kid that age they catch everything & then you catch it from them. tmbgtalk/aD.emo Pack 1.png

did you know that you never get the same cold twice? every time you get over a cold you become immune to that particular cold virus. that's why it's so hard for medical researchers to cure the common cold. there are almost an infinite number of different cold viruses. tmbgtalk/-ohwell.gif
